Official extension services in agricultural and forestry matters

Extension services in the fields of agriculture and forestry are offered within a network of some 600 advisors in Austria. They are first and foremost organised by the Chambers of Agriculture and Forestry and by the Forest Administrations of the Provincial Governments. Promotion, coordination and further training of the advisors are organised by the BMLFUW.

The Women in Agriculture

Vision and objectives of extension

Persons providing extension services see themselves as the partners of people, groups, and organisations in agriculture and forestry and in rural areas. They further the individual and the entrepreneurial development especially of rural families. (Vision of the extension service.)
